Thank you for choosing Platform Auto Detailing. By booking with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These are in place to protect both our time and your booking, ensuring every customer receives the best possible service.
1. Bookings & Deposits
- All bookings require a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total service cost to secure the appointment.
- Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
- Deposits can be paid by bank transfer.
- The deposit will be deducted from the final balance, which is payable upon completion of the service.
- By paying the deposit you agree to the terms and conditons stated on this wesbite and agree for us to undertake your booking.
- We will require access to water from a outdoor or indoor tap and electric
2. Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows
- A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule any appointment.
- Cancellations or reschedules made with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in the full cost of the booked service being due, minus any deposit already paid.
- If the outstanding balance for a late cancellation, reschedule, or no-show is not paid within 7 days, legal action will be pursued to recover the full amount plus any legal fees incurred.
- Late rescheduling (less than 24 hours’ notice) will be treated the same as a cancellation. The full booking fee will still apply, as the reserved slot cannot be filled at short notice.
- Reasonable circumstances such as genuine emergencies, illness, or family emergencies will always be considered at our discretion, and fees may be waived in these cases.
- We reserve the right to cancel or rearrange appointments due to adverse weather, unsafe working conditions, or unforeseen circumstances, with as much notice as possible.
3. Continuous rescheduling policy
- If a customer reschedules an appointment on two seperate occasions, they will be required to pay the full cost of the service upfront when booking a third appointment.
- If a third reschedule or cancellation occurs, the full service amount will be retained regardless of whether the appointment takes place.
- This policy is in place to protect our time, as repeat reschedules prevent us from offering our appointments to other customers. A lost booking is a lost wage, and we will not fall victim to a loss of money under any circumstances.
- Removal from the maintenance plan or refusal of future bookings may also apply in extreme cases.
4. Customer Responsibilities
- Customers must ensure their vehicle is legally parked, easily accessible, and safe to work on.
- All personal belongings must be removed from the vehicle prior to the appointment. We cannot be held responsible for any lost or damaged items left inside the vehicle.
- We are unable to work on any areas where personal belongings remain (E.g. a full boot) to avoid the risk of damage, loss or accidental disposal of items. This ensures the safety of your belongings and allows us to carry out the service to the highest standards without obstruction.
- If the vehicle’s condition is significantly worse than described (e.g., excessive dirt, pet hair, mould, stains), an additional charge may apply or the appointment may need to be rescheduled.
- Customers must notify us of any pre-existing damage, sensitive materials, or vehicle modifications prior to the service.
- All vehicles will recieve a full walk round and inspection prior to starting your booking.
5. Payment
- The remaining balance after the deposit is due immediately upon completion of the service.
- We accept cash, bank transfer, or mobile payment.
- Non-payment of any balance may result in refusal of future bookings and/or legal action to recover owed amounts.
6. Liability
- Platform Auto Detailing is fully insured, and every care is taken when working on your vehicle.
- We cannot accept liability for pre-existing damage, wear-and-tear, or issues caused by previous repairs or modifications.
- We will not be responsible for damage caused by undisclosed pre-existing issues with the vehicle’s materials, paint, or components.
7. Maintenance Plan Terms & Conditions
- Access to the Maintenance Plan is available only after a Full Valet service has been completed.
- Maintenance Valets must be booked no longer than 6 weeks apart to remain eligible for discounted Maintenance Plan pricing.
- If more than 6 weeks elapse between appointments, a Full Valet will be required before rejoining the Maintenance Plan.
- Maintenance Valets are intended to maintain cleanliness and do not include deep cleaning or restorative work.
- All booking, deposit, cancellation, and payment policies apply equally to Maintenance Plan appointments.
- Repeated cancellations, late reschedules, or no-shows may result in removal from the Maintenance Plan.
- We reserve the right to amend Maintenance Plan pricing, services, or eligibility criteria at any time.
8. Child Car Seats
As part of our commitment to providing a family friendly service, Platform Auto Detailing offers complimentary light cleaning of child car seats when requested.
- To allow for a thorough vacuum and clean of the seat are, child car seats must be removed by the customer prior to the appointment.
- We do NOT remove, uninstall or refit child car seats under any circumstances for safety and liability reasons.
- If the car seat has been removed , we are happy to lightly clean and vacuum the child seat itself free of charge, alongside cleaning the seat area behind and underneath.
- For any requests involving deep cleaning, stain removal or sanitation of the child seat, please notify us in advance - this may incur an additional charge.
- Customers are solely responsible for the safe reinstallation of any child car seats after cleaning.
9. Changes to Terms & Conditions
- Platform Auto Detailing reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
- The latest version will always be available on our website.
- Continued use of our services implies acceptance of any updated terms.
