Single Stage Paint Correction
Single Stage Paint Correction is designed for vehicles with light to moderate swirl marks, wash marring, dullness and poor gloss.
This package uses one machine polishing stage to significantly improve the overall appearance of the paintwork by increasing gloss, clarity and depth, while reducing visible defects caused by poor washing and everyday use. It is the best route for most daily driven vehicles where the goal is a major visual improvement without moving into a more intensive Multi Stage Paint Correction.
From £425, Minimum 2 days required, Includes one year ceramic coating

A serious improvement for daily driven vehicles
Single Stage Paint Correction is ideal for customers who want their vehicle to look noticeably sharper, glossier and better cared for.
This package is not about chasing every mark in the paintwork. It is about safely improving the overall finish, reducing visible swirl marks and restoring a cleaner, clearer and glossier appearance.
The level of improvement depends on the paint type, paint depth, defect severity and the overall condition of the vehicle. Before any correction work is carried out, the vehicle must first be inspected so honest expectations can be set properly.
Who is Single Stage Paint Correction for?
Single Stage Paint Correction is suitable for vehicles that need a strong visual improvement, but do not require heavy defect removal or a more intensive multi stage process.
It is best suited to:
-
Vehicles with light to moderate swirl marks.
-
Paintwork that looks dull or tired.
-
Daily drivers needing a major improvement.
-
Cars with wash marring from poor washing.
-
Vehicles with reduced gloss and poor clarity.
-
Customers who want better paintwork before ceramic protection.
-
Vehicles that do not require heavy correction work.
What to expect
Single Stage Paint Correction is an improvement focused service.
It is designed to improve gloss, clarity and visible swirl marks, but it is not designed to remove every scratch, deep mark or severe defect from the paintwork.
Some defects may remain after polishing, especially if they are too deep to safely remove. The aim is to improve the finish safely while preserving the long term condition of the paintwork.
If the vehicle needs a higher level of correction, Multi Stage Paint Correction may be recommended after inspection.

Why an inspection wash is required
Before confirming any Paint Correction package, the vehicle must first have a Paint Correction Inspection Wash.
This allows the vehicle to be safely washed, decontaminated and inspected properly under lighting. It also gives a clear understanding of the paint condition, defect severity and what level of improvement is realistically achievable.
The inspection makes sure the correct package is recommended before the vehicle is booked in for correction work.
Time required
Single Stage Paint Correction requires a minimum of 2 days.
This gives enough time for safe preparation, inspection, machine polishing, ceramic coating application and final checks without rushing the process.
Larger vehicles, heavily contaminated vehicles or paintwork requiring extra preparation may require more time.

Not sure if this is the right package?
If your vehicle has light to moderate swirl marks, dull paintwork or poor gloss, Single Stage Paint Correction is usually the right route.
If the paintwork has heavier defects, deeper wash damage, haze, oxidation or requires a higher level of correction, Multi Stage Paint Correction may be more suitable.
Send photos of the vehicle and the paintwork condition if you are unsure, and Platform Auto Detailing will advise the most suitable route before booking.
