Terms & Conditions

Platform Auto Detailing 

Platform Auto Detailing is a professional mobile and studio valeting and detailing business operated by a sole trader. By booking or receiving any service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. BOOKINGS & DEPOSITS

A booking is only confirmed once a deposit has been paid.
Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances.

Deposit amounts:

  • Deep Clean Valet: £30

  • Detailing Packages (Enhance & Protect / New Car Protection): £100

Bookings made without a deposit are not guaranteed.
If a customer fails to pay a deposit, the slot may be offered to someone else.

2. RESCHEDULING AND CANCELLATIONS

To reschedule, 48 hours’ notice is required.
Rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in loss of deposit.

Cancellations at any time result in loss of deposit.

If the vehicle is inaccessible on arrival (no keys, no parking, unsafe location, locked, etc.), the deposit is forfeited.

Failure to attend, or not being present to hand over the vehicle when required, counts as a no-show and the deposit is forfeited.

Rescheduling due to poor weather (for mobile appointments) will be at our discretion and does not affect the deposit when we initiate the change.

3. PAYMENTS

All payments are due immediately upon completion of the service.
No credit terms and no delayed payments are accepted.

Accepted payment methods:

  • Cash

  • Bank Transfer

  • Invoice (due on completion, not later)

  • Card payments using Revolut Tap-to-Pay (in-person only)

  • Card payments via Wix (when available)

  • Clearpay & Klarna instalments (limited services only; see Section 3A)

Failure to pay on completion may lead to debt recovery and additional charges.

3A. CLEARPAY & KLARNA INSTALMENTS

Clearpay and Klarna instalment payments are only available for:

  • Deep Clean Valets

  • Enhance & Protect

  • New Car Protection Details

Approval is subject to acceptance by the finance provider.
If instalment payment is declined, a different payment method must be used to secure the booking.

Customers enter a separate finance agreement with Clearpay/Klarna.
Platform Auto Detailing is not responsible for missed payments, fees, interest, or declined finance decisions.

Instalments & Cancellations

  • The standard cancellation policy still applies (Section 2).

  • If a cancellation fee applies, it must be paid in full at the full value of the service, even if the provider does not release funds to us.

  • If a customer disputes or blocks instalment payments, they remain fully liable directly to Platform Auto Detailing.

  • Legal action will be taken to recover outstanding balances plus associated costs if unpaid.

4. VEHICLE CONDITION, EXTRA CHARGES & REFUSAL OF WORK

Prices are based on standard vehicle condition.

Extra charges apply for: excessive pet hair, mud, sand, mould, vomit, urine, blood, faeces, insects, biohazards, heavy staining or neglect.

These charges will be quoted fairly before work begins. Work may be refused if the customer declines the charge.

We reserve the right to refuse work if a vehicle is unsafe, heavily infested, hazardous, or presents risk of contamination, health issues or damage.

5. DAMAGE, DEFECTS & CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We are not responsible for damage caused by:

  • Pre-existing scratches, swirls or wear

  • Poor resprays or unknown paint history

  • Failing lacquer or peeling paint

  • Electrical faults due to existing leaks/damp

  • Aftermarket accessories failing or falling off during cleaning

Deep cleaning may reveal, not cause, hidden defects such as scratches, worn paint, staining or odours.

6. DEEP CLEAN ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP OR DETAILING

A Deep Clean Valet is required before:

  • Joining the Maintenance Membership

  • Applying ceramic coatings or detailing

  • Returning to membership if the vehicle has exceeded 6 weeks since the last visit

7. MAINTENANCE MEMBERSHIP TERMS

(Integrated Agreement — applies to anyone joining the membership)

Membership price: £60 per month
One maintenance clean every 4–6 weeks
Payment is a subscription for membership access and each payment is redeemed per visit.

Missed or skipped visits are not refunded.
Membership cannot be paused unless we approve in writing.

Excess dirt, neglect, or pet hair may require additional charges or a Deep Clean before continuing.

If more than 6 weeks pass between visits, a Deep Clean is required before continuing.

If membership is cancelled, a Deep Clean is required to rejoin at the current market price.

We may terminate membership if:

  • Payments fail

  • The vehicle repeatedly arrives in poor condition

  • Appointments are repeatedly missed or rescheduled excessively

  • Abusive, unreasonable or threatening behaviour occurs

8. DETAILING PACKAGES & CERAMIC COATING WARRANTY

Ceramic coatings are installed with a warranty provided jointly by Platform Auto Detailing and Reign by Performance PPL.

A digital warranty certificate will be issued by email after full payment and completion.

Warranty validity requires proof of proper maintenance if requested.

Warranty Conditions (Option B applied):

  • Warranty is valid if the car is washed correctly by the customer using safe methods and approved chemicals, OR via our Maintenance Membership.

  • Warranty is void if improper washing, cheap chemicals, roadside £10 washes, or neglect are used.

  • A free Safe Wash Guide is provided after detailing to show how to correctly maintain the coating.

Failure to follow safe wash principles can void the warranty.

9. PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & NUMBER PLATES

We may record and photograph vehicles for:

  • Condition records

  • Marketing and portfolio purposes

Number plates will only be blurred if the customer requests it before work begins.
Consent for photography is assumed unless the customer makes a written request before work starts.

10. ACCESS, KEYS & PARKING FOR MOBILE WORK

The customer must provide:

  • A safe working area

  • Sufficient space to open vehicle doors fully

  • Access to the vehicle and keys

If the location is unsafe, on a narrow road, or poses a hazard, we may refuse work and retain the deposit.
The customer is responsible for legal parking arrangements where required.

11. STUDIO WORK

If the vehicle is delivered to our location, it must be collected at the agreed time.
If collection is late without notice, storage fees may apply.

12. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By booking a service, paying a deposit, booking online, or ticking the terms & conditions checkbox, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree fully to these Terms & Conditions.
