Terms & Conditions
Platform Auto Detailing is a professional mobile and studio-based vehicle valeting and detailing business operated by a sole trader. By booking, paying a deposit, booking online, or receiving any service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.

1. BOOKINGS & DEPOSITS
A booking is only confirmed once a deposit has been paid.
The deposit is a non-refundable part-payment to secure the agreed time, date, and resources allocated to the booking.
Deposit amounts:

Deep Clean Valet: £30
-
Detailing Packages (Enhance & Protect / New Car Protection): £100
Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances.
Bookings made without a deposit are not guaranteed and may be offered to another customer.
Deposits are deducted from the final balance payable upon completion of the service.
2. RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule an appointment.
Rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in loss of deposit.
Cancellations at any time result in loss of deposit, including (but not limited to) illness, change of mind, or third-party issues.
If the vehicle is inaccessible on arrival (no keys, no access, unsafe location, locked vehicle, no parking, etc.), the deposit is forfeited.
Failure to attend, or not being present to hand over the vehicle when required, constitutes a no-show and the deposit is forfeited.
For mobile appointments, rescheduling due to poor weather will be at our discretion. Where we initiate the change, the deposit remains valid.
3. PAYMENTS
All payments are due immediately upon completion of the service.
No credit terms or delayed payments are accepted.
Accepted payment methods:

Invoice (due on completion, not later)

Card payments via Revolut Tap-to-Pay (in person)

Card payments via Wix (where available)

Clearpay & Klarna instalments (limited services only – see Section 3A)
Failure to pay on completion may result in debt recovery action, with all associated fees and costs passed to the customer.
3A. CLEARPAY & KLARNA INSTALMENTS
Clearpay and Klarna instalment payments are only available for:

Deep Clean Valets
-
Enhance & Protect
-
New Car Protection Details
Approval is subject to acceptance by the finance provider.
If instalment payment is declined, an alternative payment method must be used to secure the booking.
Customers enter a separate finance agreement with Clearpay or Klarna.
Platform Auto Detailing is not responsible for declined applications, missed payments, interest, or fees applied by the provider.
Instalments & Cancellations
The standard cancellation policy applies (see Section 2).
Any cancellation fees or outstanding balances become immediately payable in full to Platform Auto Detailing, regardless of whether the finance provider releases funds.
If instalment payments are disputed, blocked, or reversed, the customer remains fully liable for the full service value.
Legal action will be taken to recover unpaid balances plus associated costs if required.
4. VEHICLE CONDITION, EXTRA CHARGES & REFUSAL OF WORK
Prices are based on standard vehicle condition.
Vehicle condition is assessed on arrival.
Any estimates provided beforehand are based on customer descriptions and may change once the vehicle is inspected in person.
Additional charges may apply for excessive dirt, pet hair, mud, sand, mould, vomit, urine, blood, faeces, insects, biohazards, heavy staining, or neglect.
Any additional charges will be explained and quoted before work continues.
If the customer declines the charge, work may be refused and the deposit forfeited.
We reserve the right to refuse work on any vehicle that is unsafe, hazardous, heavily infested, or poses a risk of contamination, health issues, or damage.
5. DAMAGE, DEFECTS & CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Platform Auto Detailing is not responsible for damage caused by:

Pre-existing scratches, swirls, wear or defects

Poor resprays or unknown paint history
-
Failing lacquer or peeling paint
-
Electrical faults caused by existing leaks or damp
-
Aftermarket accessories failing or detaching during cleaning
Deep cleaning and detailing may reveal but do not cause existing defects such as scratches, worn paint, staining, or odours.
No service guarantees the complete removal of all defects, stains, odours, scratches, or wear. Results vary based on vehicle condition, materials, and prior history.
6. DEEP CLEAN MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
A Deep Clean Valet is required before:

Joining the Maintenance Membership

Applying ceramic coatings or detailing packages
-
Rejoining the Maintenance Membership if more than 6 weeks have passed since the last visit
7. MAINTENANCE MEMBERSHIP TERMS
(Integrated Agreement)
Membership price: £60 per month
Includes one maintenance clean every 4–6 weeks.
Membership payments provide access to the service and are redeemed per visit.
Payments do not roll over, accumulate, or carry monetary value.
Missed or skipped visits are not refunded.
Membership cannot be paused unless approved by us in writing.
If excessive dirt, neglect, or pet hair is present, additional charges or a Deep Clean may be required before continuing.
If more than 6 weeks pass between visits, a Deep Clean is required before continuing.
If membership is cancelled, a Deep Clean at the current market price is required to rejoin.
We reserve the right to terminate membership if:

Payments fail
-
The vehicle repeatedly arrives in poor condition

Appointments are repeatedly missed or excessively rescheduled
-
Abusive, unreasonable, or threatening behaviour occurs
8. DETAILING PACKAGES & CERAMIC COATING WARRANTY
Ceramic coatings are installed with a warranty provided jointly by Platform Auto Detailing and Reign by Performance PPL.
A digital warranty certificate will be issued by email after full payment and completion.
Warranty validity may require proof of correct maintenance if requested.
Warranty Conditions (Option B)
The warranty remains valid if the vehicle is:

Washed correctly by the customer using safe methods and approved chemicals, or
-
Maintained via our Maintenance Membership
The warranty is void if:
-
Improper washing techniques are used
-
Cheap or unsuitable chemicals are applied
-
Roadside or low-quality hand car washes are used
-
The vehicle is neglected
A Safe Wash Guide is provided after detailing. Failure to follow safe wash principles may void the warranty.
9. PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & NUMBER PLATES
Vehicles may be photographed or recorded for:

Condition records
-
Marketing and portfolio use
By accepting these Terms & Conditions, the customer provides consent for photography and video use unless a written request is made before work begins.
Number plates will only be blurred upon request made prior to the service.
10. ACCESS, KEYS & PARKING (MOBILE SERVICES)
The customer must provide:

A safe working environment
-
Sufficient space to fully open vehicle doors
-
Access to the vehicle and keys
If the location is unsafe, on a narrow road, or poses a hazard, we may refuse work and retain the deposit.
The customer is responsible for arranging legal parking where required.
11. STUDIO WORK
Vehicles delivered to our location must be collected at the agreed time.
Late collection without prior agreement may result in storage fees.
12. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS & GOVERNING LAW
By booking a service, paying a deposit, booking online, or ticking the Terms & Conditions checkbox, you confirm acceptance of these Terms & Conditions in full.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
