Gloss Enhancement Detail

The Gloss Enhancement Detail is an exterior-focused mobile service designed for vehicles that need more than a standard clean, but do not require full paint correction.

This package safely deep cleans the exterior, removes bonded contamination, improves gloss through a light machine polish, and applies durable protection to leave the paintwork looking cleaner, sharper and more refined.

It is ideal for vehicles that are already in reasonable condition but lack gloss, feel rough to the touch, or need bringing back up to a higher visual standard before ongoing maintenance. It is also suitable for vehicles that have been through winter, picked up road grime, salt, fallout and contamination, or simply need the exterior properly resetting.

This is not a paint correction package. If your main concern is swirl marks, scratches, haze, wash marring or visible paint defects, our studio-based Paint Correction route will be more suitable.

A Mobile Exterior Detail Built Around Gloss

The Gloss Enhancement Detail bridges the gap between our Deep Clean and our studio-based Paint Correction services.

Where the Deep Clean focuses on a full interior and exterior reset, the Gloss Enhancement Detail focuses specifically on improving the exterior appearance of the vehicle.

The aim is to safely remove dirt, road film and contamination, restore smoothness to the paintwork, improve gloss and apply protection, without moving into heavy defect removal or correction work.

Gloss Enhancement Detail Includes:

Wheels, arches and tyres deep cleaned to remove brake dust, road grime and built-up dirt
Door shuts and fuel cap cleaned to remove grime from common dirt traps
Multi-stage pre-wash to safely loosen traffic film, dirt and road grime before contact washing
Snow foam application to further soften and lift surface dirt
Safe contact wash using a controlled wash method to reduce the risk of wash marks
Intricate exterior areas cleaned including badges, grilles, window rubbers, trims, mirror surrounds and panel gaps
Chemical decontamination to remove bonded contaminants such as iron fallout and tar spots
Final snow foam rinse down to remove remaining chemical residue before drying
Safe drying process using dedicated drying towels
Light gloss-enhancing machine polish to improve gloss, depth and overall clarity
Panel wipe down to remove polishing oils, dust and residue before protection
Ceramic-infused hand wax application using Gyeon Wax for added gloss, slickness and protection
Final exterior wipe down to tidy edges, remove residue and refine the finish
Exterior glass cleaned for improved clarity
Tyres dressed to restore a clean, dark finish
Final inspection before completion

Interior cleaning is not included as standard. If your vehicle also needs the inside deep cleaning, this can be added separately or our Deep Clean may be the better starting point.

This service usually takes around 5–7 hours, depending on vehicle size, condition and working conditions.

Mobile Where Conditions Allow

The Gloss Enhancement Detail is available as a mobile service where suitable working conditions allow.

Because this package includes machine polishing, the vehicle must be worked on in a safe environment with suitable space, weather and access to water and electricity.

In poor weather, strong wind, direct heat, heavy rain or unsuitable working conditions, the appointment may need to be rescheduled or completed at our Stalmine studio to protect the quality of the finish.

If the customer has suitable undercover working arrangements, such as a garage, car port or covered area with enough space to safely work around the vehicle, the service may still be able to go ahead mobile, subject to assessment on the day.

£50 Deposit required at booking. All Deposits are deducted off the final amount due upon completion.

Interior Deep Clean - £100
For vehicles that also need the inside properly cleaned, steamed, vacuumed and reset. Pricing depends on vehicle size and condition.

Fabric Roof Clean & Re-Seal - £120
For convertible soft tops requiring a dedicated fabric roof clean followed by water-repellent protection.

Headlight Restoration - £60
Machine polishing to improve faded, hazy or yellowed headlights. Final price depends on the level of oxidation and whether sanding is required.

Wheel Face Protection - £40
Adds protection to the visible wheel faces to improve gloss and make future cleaning easier.

Glass Coating - £40
Applied to exterior glass to improve water behaviour, visibility and ease of cleaning.

Engine Bay Detail - From £40

A controlled engine bay clean designed to safely remove dirt, grease and grime from visible areas, before dressing plastics and trims to leave the bay looking cleaner, darker and better presented.
