Why does my car still look dull after it has been washed?
One of the most common things we hear from customers is:
“I’ve washed it, but it still doesn’t look right.”
The car might be clean. The dirt might be gone. The wheels might look better. But the paint still looks flat, tired, cloudy, or dull — especially when the sun hits it.
That is because there is a big difference between a car being clean and a car looking glossy.
A normal wash removes surface dirt. It does not restore damaged paintwork. It does not remove swirl marks. It does not correct wash marring. It does not bring back depth, clarity, and gloss.
If your car still looks dull after washing, the problem usually sits within the paintwork itself.
A clean car is not always a glossy car
Washing your car removes road grime, dust, salt, traffic film, and general dirt from the surface.
That is important, but it only deals with what is sitting on top of the paint.
